Can be conducted as a purely quantitative or qualitative study
The image survey from Analyse Danmark can either be conducted as a purely quantitative or qualitative survey. It can also advantageously be a combination of these methods. A combination survey is typically divided into phases. For example, it may consist of an exploratory phase with in-depth interviews or focus groups followed by a questionnaire survey. The latter quantifies the perceptions of the target group found in the previous phase. The methods can also be combined differently so that a quantitative survey forms the basis for a qualitative phase where the results of the survey are qualified and deepened.
